Mid-Year Neighborhood Reminder – Summer 2026
As we reach the midpoint of 2026 and summer is in full swing, it's a good time to share a few friendly reminders about some of the more noticeable responsibilities we all share as homeowners.
Our community continues to be a highly desirable place to live because residents take pride in their homes and respect the standards established in our Governing Documents, as well as applicable City ordinances. By working together, we help preserve our neighborhood's appearance, property values, and quality of life.
Please take a few moments to review and keep in mind the following:
Each homeowner is required to maintain St. Augustine sod on their front facing property. A tip to successfully maintain is to have, a herbicide/ pesticide program and a maintained automatic underground irrigation system of sufficient size and capacity to irrigate all sodded and landscaped areas to be successful or the sod will need to be replaced to stay in compliance with our governing documents.
Each Homeowner is responsible to notify the ARC if any of their street trees are in question of being removed or significantly altered. This includes if the city of Clearwater contacts you about their concerns. This is codified in our Governing Documents and also approved in our tree policy.
Per city ordinance, do not block the sidewalks with vehicles parked in your driveway to force pedestrians into the street. Also, per city ordinance no commercial vehicles, trailers are allowed to be parked on a public street or in your driveway. Additionally “recreational vehicles” are not permitted to be parked any place in Elysium unless their are kept in and enclosed garage.
Please observe all speed limits and street signage when driving through the neighborhood as there are children at play whether you see them or not.
During summer holiday, and we are in a severe drought, fire conditions are at an all time high. Be respectful of your neighborhood, your neighbors property and their pets with the use of legal fireworks only and please keep those to a minimum. Please remember that many pets are very sensitive to the loud noises and flashes created by fireworks. Keeping them safely indoors, if possible, can help reduce their stress and prevent them from becoming frightened or running away.
Per city ordinance and out of respect to your fellow neighbors, please clean up after your pet. Picking up pet waste helps keep our community clean, healthy, and enjoyable for everyone.
Thank you for being a responsible pet owner and for helping keep our neighborhood a great place to live.
